System and functionality

The VIDAR system

AnchorPoint’s VIDAR solutions protect passengers, aircraft, and airlines from GPS interference. At the core is the VIDAR Safety unit — the cockpit device pilots rely on. Safety hosts critical functions such as eResilience, eJAX, eSentinel and eZone, while VIDAR Resilience serves as the heart of the system, turning cockpit data into fleet-wide intelligence.
Developed framework – ready for pilot stage validation with authorized partners.

VIDAR Navigation

Continuity in the cockpit

VIDAR Navigation ensures continuous, reliable positioning when GNSS is degraded or lost.
It integrates eResilience for internal system integrity and eZones for regional interference awareness.
Together, they provide pilots with safe, uninterrupted situational awareness even during severe signal disruption.

VIDAR Detection – Awareness and Localisation

Awareness and localisation

VIDAR Detection provides precise identification and localisation of interference across airspace.
It integrates eJAX for jammer detection and geolocation, and eSentinel for forensic trace analysis and event validation.
Together, they give operators and authorities real-time awareness of interference sources and their operational impact.

VIDAR Resilience – Coordination and continuity

The heart of the system

VIDAR Resilience provides the coordination logic that links aircraft, ground systems, and authorised control nodes.
It ensures situational continuity when satellites are jammed or spoofed — maintaining integrity, alerting relevant operators, and restoring trust in navigation even under interference conditions.
The system transforms individual detection events into a shared operational picture, supporting decision-making across fleets and airspace sectors.

Key elements:

Features

Core cockpit functions

eResilience

provides fallback coordinates, alerts, and navigation support when GPS is jammed or spoofed.
This is included in all units.

eSentinel

logs interference events and detects fingerprints for analysis.
Provides correct values if spoofing and jamming occurs.

eJAX

detects and localises interference, providing confidence-rated alerts and maps.

eZone

alerts pilots when entering known interference areas identified by VIDAR Resilience.

eResilience

Core System Integrity Function

eResilience forms part of the core VIDAR software, continuously monitoring signal integrity, data validity, and system health.
It provides automatic fallback and recovery logic during interference or data loss, ensuring cockpit continuity and reliable handover to safety modes.
The function operates silently in the background, maintaining confidence in navigation data and protecting all connected modules.

Key elements:

eSentinel

Forensic Intelligence

The radio signal from a jammer has specific characteristics. Fingerprint captures and classifies interference events, creating unique signatures of each jammer. This allows ANSPs and operators to track whether the same source reappears in different regions or moves over time. It builds a signature library for long-term oversight and regulatory reporting.

Key elements:

eJAX

Jammer detection & Localisation

eJAX provides visibility into where interference is taking place. It delivers confidence-rated location estimates and generates heatmaps, feeding into VIDAR Resilience dashboards for situational awareness.

Key elements:

eZones

Regional Interference Awareness

eZones provides pilots and operators with advance awareness of interference areas identified by VIDAR Resilience analytics.
It delivers real-time alerts and regional status updates directly in the cockpit, helping crews maintain situational awareness and anticipate degraded navigation conditions.
